Final Truth The Autobiography of Pee Wee Gaskins (PDF Scan - Improved Readability)
Hi,This may not be allowed but I'm going to try anyway because the book is out of print, extremely rare and expensive. Plus, Pee Wee wasn't exactly a good guy. Anyway, I found the PDF for this book online but the readability was poor as it was just a basic scan. I wanted to read this on my eReader so I decided to take the time to improve it somewhat and thought I'd share incase people wanted to read it too.In case anyone wants to replicate this with another PDF book scan they have, the steps I took to do this are: 1.) Downloaded the PDF and converted each page to a JPG.2.) Split the JPG vertically to get each page.3.) Used XNView MP to crop each image individually so all I had was the text and not page markings or the crease shadow.4.) Used XNView MP to remove the alpha channel to remove the yellow tinge, used the levels slider to increase the text visibility and then extended the canvas size so each image was the same dimension.5.) Used an online tool to combine the new JPG into a PDF.6.) Use Calibre to load the new PDF to your eReader of choice.I hope someone finds this useful and enjoys the book. It's quite a read. Pee Wee was a very sick man and this books remains a fascinating insight into his real life and fantasy life, depends of how much of the book you believe. Many thanks to whoever originally scanned their copy of the book.Link to Internet Archive download:
