In The Wrong End of Time Simon and Liz crash into an invisible barrier and are plunged into the dangerous days of 1940; then in The Time of the Ice-Box they travel to a confrontation at the South Pole some time in the future.Simon Randall and Liz Skinner pass through the time barrier, in this novel based on the first two of the four television serials which were broadcast over 26 weeks in 1970.
