Typically the deposits are lenticular or tabular and nearlyparallel to the bedding. The ore minerals, chiefly sulfides, oxides, andcarbonates of cooper, mainly fill pores in sedimentary rock. Chalco-cite is the most common primary mineral and occurs as disseminationsof irregular replacement masses in sandstone, as nodules in shale, andas pseudomorphs after fosil wood and pyrite grains. Small amountsof native copper, cuprite, chalcopyrite, covellite, bornite, sphalerite, pyrite and galena are present in places. Malachite is the most con-spicuous mineral and is more abundant than azurite or chrysocolla.Trace to small amounts of silver, lead, nickel, cobalt, chromium, mo-lybdenum, uranium, vanadium and zinc are present in some deposits."]----Also see:"США решили не повышать тарифы на российские палладий, никель и титан," rbc.ru, 1 July 2022.["US decides not to raise tariffs on Russian palladium, nickel and titanium," rbc.ru, 1 July 2022.]New Mexico Bureau of Geology & Mineral Resources, New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology, (Palladium & Rhodium Collection)
