The annual financial reports to shareholders of the S.S. Kresge Company from its initial stock offering in 1912 to 1976, and of its successor the K mart Corporation from 1977 to 1985, in 1992, and from 1994 to 2001. After 2001, the company stopped producing annual financial reports because of its bankruptcy and submitted only the required 10-K forms to the SEC up until its merger with Sears Holdings Corporation in 2005. The annual financial reports from 1986 to 1991 and from 1993 are not available here.The reports contain financial information about the company and its operations and subsidiaries, including the Kresge chain of variety stores, the Jupiter Discount Stores chain of bargain stores, the K mart (later "Kmart") chain of discount department stores, the Mount Clemens Pottery Company, and specialty retail chains Shoe Retail, Furr's Cafeteria, Bishop Buffets, Designer Depot, Big Top Stores, Bargain Harold's, Waldenbooks, Builders Square, PACE Membership Warehouses, The Sports Authority, OfficeMax, Borders Books and Music, PayLess Drug Stores, and Abra K Dabra pizza parlors. The company's operations were primarily in the United States and Canada, but at times included Australia, Singapore, Mexico, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
