Romance of the Three Kingdoms (三國演義/三国演义)
As one of China's Four Great Novels of the medieval period, Romance of the Three Kingdoms is one of the world's most celebrated war epics. This legendary, unabridged classic chronicles the last four decades of the Eastern Han dynasty leading up to its demise, and the sixty following years of territorial struggles between the Three Kingdoms of Shu Han, Cao Wei, and Eastern Wu, with many artistic and dramatic liberties taken, romanticizing this tumultuous period of Chinese history and immortalizing its many warlords, scholars, politicians, and maidens within a tale that will forever stand the test of time.
