تأليف: الأديب المؤرخ النسابة الجغرافي عاتق بن غيث البلادي (رحمه الله) (1934 - 2010 م)
نبذة: هذا الكتاب أحد المراجع الأساسية في الدراسات الجغرافية والتاريخية الخاصة بالحجاز ؛ حيث يمثّل نموذجًا في الجمع بين الدراسة المكتبية والبحث الميداني المباشر.
من مميزات الكتاب:
-جمع فيه المؤلف معلومات واسعة عن القرى والجبال والأودية والطرق والمعالم التاريخية في الحجاز.
-اعتمد على المصادر التراثية القديمة مثل كتب التاريخ والبلدان، والمعاينة الميدانية حيث قام المؤلف برحلات شخصية واسعة في المنطقة.
-يحتوي على مادة غزيرة يستفيد منها المؤرخون والأنثروبولوجيون والباحثون في الأنساب.
